Professional Interpreter Services

For hospitals, specialists, and government services, interpreters may be available through TIS National.

In Western Australia

Many GP clinics do not routinely provide interpreters. Patients may:

  • Bring a trusted family member or friend
  • Use translation tools (e.g. Google Translate)
  • Ask clinicians to speak slowly or write key points

If language support is important, it is okay to ask clinics in advance what assistance is available.
